Care Instructions

To keep your Studs from tarnishing we recommend avoiding water and removing your Studs before you shower, swim or sweat. To clean your earrings use a dry, soft, clean cloth. For a deep clean use water and a soap without harsh chemicals and dry immediately with a clean soft cloth. Always store your earrings in a cool, dry place.

What is PVD Plating?
A close-up of a textured gold surface.

PVD plating is a premium finishing process used on our implant-grade titanium to create rich, long-lasting color. The finish is bonded directly to the titanium’s surface for exceptional durability and a high-quality finish designed to last.

How to insert a flatback

Flatbacks are designed with comfort in mind: a low-profile disk sits against the back of your ear while the decorative end sits up front. The key to changing them? A little patience, the right angle, and no forcing.

How to Insert a Flatback

  1. Separate the top from the flatback post by gently pulling the two pieces apart.
  2. Insert the flatback post from the back of your piercing, so the flat disc sits flush against the back of your ear.
  3. Line up the earring top with the opening of the post on the front of your ear.
  4. Gently push the top into the post until it feels secure. Threadless flatbacks are held in place by tension, so there’s no twisting or screwing required - just make sure there's a slight bend in the top if it doesn't feel secure!
  5. Give it a gentle check to make sure the top is fully inserted and secure.

Pro tip: Flatbacks can be a little tricky the first time. Our Flatback Insertion Tool can help guide the post through your piercing and make changing your jewelry easier.
